Azir
Champions that beat Azir
- Aurelion Solmid
Breath of Light (Q) cone out-ranges Azir's Arise! (W) soldier auto range. Astral Flight (W) follows him through Emperor's Divide (R) reposition and Cosmic Creator scaling chunks his shield-less HP before Conquering Sands (Q) chains a stun.
- Auroramid
Across the Veil (W) invisibility breaks Azir's Arise! (W) soldier auto target lock. Twofold Hex (Q) recast bursts him outside Conquering Sands (Q) soldier range before Emperor's Divide (R) lands.
- Ireliatop
Short-range squishy without a dash gets one-shotted once Irelia hits Trinity Force. Shifting Sands (E) single dash is the only escape from Flawless Duet (E) stun setup, and Emperor's Divide (R) wall is sidestepped by Bladesurge (Q) reset chain.
- Jarvan IVjungle
Demacian Standard (E) plus Dragon Strike (Q) gap-close from out of vision plus the Cataclysm (R) wall denies Conquering Sands (Q) soldier spacing; Shifting Sands (E) single dash cannot leave the arena before his team converts.
- Lissandramid
Frozen Tomb (R) on Azir cancels the Emperor's Divide (R) Shuffle mid-cast. Ring of Frost (W) chain stun zones him out of Arise! (W) soldier range and Glacial Path (E) catches him on the recall after teamfights.
- Naafirimid
Azir has no fast escape against Naafiri's Hounds' Pursuit (R) target dash. Conquering Sands (Q) plus Arise! (W) soldiers cannot peel after R lands and Darkin Daggers (Q) plus auto-attacks finish him before Shifting Sands (E) reaches a soldier;
- Twisted Fatemid
Azir's Conquering Sands Q requires soldier placement and Shifting Sands E dash needs a soldier target — both leave him zone-anchored. Twisted Fate's Destiny R lets him leave lane the moment Q is on cooldown, his wave commitment with Arise! W soldiers turns into a free roam kill,
- Xerathmid
Arcanopulse (Q) charges to 1450 range, well beyond Azir's 740 soldier reach. Shocking Orb (E) point-and-click stun catches him during Shifting Sands (E) windup and Rite of the Arcane (R) finishes him from off-screen.
- Yasuomid
Wind Wall (W) eats every Conquering Sands (Q) soldier line and the Emperor's Divide (R) wall projectile follow-up. With his main poke neutralized Azir is a melee mage with no melee tools, and Steel Tempest (Q3) plus Sweeping Blade (E) all-ins him.
- Yonemid
Wind Wall (W) blocks Conquering Sands (Q) soldier chain. Soul Unbound (E) refunds movement on retreat, and Fate Sealed (R) closes the gap through the Emperor's Divide (R) wall for a Mortal Steel (Q3) knock-up finish.
- Zedmid
Living Shadow (W) plus Death Mark (R) chains two dashes onto Azir pre-6 when Shifting Sands (E) is on a long cooldown. Razor Shuriken (Q) plus Shadow Slash (E) marks burst him before Arise! (W) soldier chain matters.
- Zileanmid
Time Warp W slow plus a Time Bomb Q under his feet pins Azir in place. Shifting Sands E needs his soldiers nearby for the dash, and Conquering Sands Q soldier movement is too slow to escape. A clean Q + W + Q chain stuns Azir before Emperor's Divide R cast.
Champions Azir beats
- Anniemid
Annie has to walk into 625 range to land Disintegrate (Q) and the Pyromania stun. Azir keeps Arise! (W) soldiers between them, soldier autos chip her at 740, and Emperor's Divide (R) Shuffle flips the all-in if she Flashes in.
- Cassiopeiamid
Arise! (W) soldier range out-poses the Twin Fang (E) stack range. Emperor's Divide (R) Shuffle into tower kills her grounded frame, and her Miasma (W) zone does not stop the Conquering Sands (Q) soldier dash.
- Malzaharmid
Malzahar has no dash and Void Shift breaks on the first damage tick. Azir farms safely with Arise! (W) from level 1 and matches the late-game power without giving him Malefic Visions (E) stacks for free.
- Veigarmid
Veigar has no dash and Event Horizon (E) cage is a slow telegraph. Arise! (W) soldier range out-paces Baleful Strike (Q) and Conquering Sands (Q) soldier dash sidesteps the cage edge before Primordial Burst (R) detonates.
