Overview and Merchant of Record
This Refund Policy explains when and how you can obtain a refund for purchases made in connection with LoL Sensei (the "Service"), operated by the party identified in our Terms of Service ("we", "us", "our"). It applies to all paid subscriptions and forms part of our Terms of Service.
All purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), acting as the Merchant of Record. This means Paddle is the seller of record for your transaction: it handles checkout, billing, invoicing, and applicable taxes. Refunds are issued through Paddle in accordance with this policy and with Paddle's own terms applicable to buyers.
EU/EEA and UK Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you generally have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving any reason (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 9 and, for Italian consumers, Article 52 of the Italian Consumer Code).
Because LoL Sensei is a digital service with immediate access, completing the checkout requires you to expressly request immediate performance and to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed (Article 16(a) of Directive 2011/83/EU; Article 59(a) of the Italian Consumer Code). If you withdraw before the service has been fully performed, you may be charged an amount proportionate to the service already provided. This consent is a condition of purchase because the service is delivered without delay.
That said, we do not apply a blanket "no refunds" rule. If you request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase and you have not substantially used the paid features of the Service during that period, we will issue a full refund of that initial payment. "Substantial use" is assessed reasonably and in good faith based on your actual usage of the paid features.
Recurring Subscriptions
Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the application settings or through Paddle. Cancellation stops future renewals: you keep full access to paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
We do not provide pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of a billing period when you voluntarily cancel a renewal. If you no longer wish to be charged, please cancel before your next renewal date; renewal charges processed after a timely cancellation will be refunded.
Defective or Unavailable Service
If the Service is materially defective, or materially unavailable for a prolonged period for reasons attributable to us, you are entitled to a remedy. Depending on the circumstances, this may be a fix, a credit, a partial refund proportionate to the period of unavailability, or a full refund of the affected billing period.
This does not cover unavailability caused by factors outside our reasonable control, such as outages of third-party services the Service depends on (including the Riot Games APIs), issues with your own device, network, or League of Legends installation, or scheduled maintenance announced in advance. Your statutory remedies for lack of conformity of digital services remain unaffected.
Discontinuation of the Service
If we permanently discontinue the paid Service, or permanently remove the core paid functionality you subscribed for, we will refund the pro-rata portion of any fees you have already paid for the period after the discontinuation date. This refund is processed automatically through Paddle where possible; otherwise we will contact you with instructions.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at support@lolsensei.com from the address associated with your account, including your Paddle receipt or order number and a brief description of the reason for your request. You may also contact Paddle directly through the receipt email you received at purchase.
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method; depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take several additional days for the amount to appear on your statement.
Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect or unauthorized, please contact us or Paddle before opening a dispute or chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most billing issues can be resolved quickly and directly, and a refund issued where due. Chargebacks filed without first contacting support take longer to resolve for everyone involved and may result in the suspension of the associated account while the dispute is investigated.
Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence, including rights relating to defective digital services and statutory withdrawal rights. Where this policy is more generous than the law, the policy applies; where the law grants you more, the law prevails.
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Italy, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you reside.
